Sniffle Snuffle Mat

Snuffle mats make a great fun game for your dog. You can hide their favourite treats in it for them find - or even as a substitute for their dinner bowl, to make meal times more interesting. Snuffle mats are great for keeping your dog stimulated whilst you reply to that important email in your inbox.

Some people make and sell snuffle mats online for you to buy or you can make one yourself - its super easy.

What you'll need:

* Rubber matting (or I used a rubber door mat bought cheaply from a home store)

* Plenty of felt strips or you can cut up unwanted clothes or towels

* Scissors

1. Cut up your felt, unwanted clothes or towels into strips approx. 30 cm long and 3 cm wide.

2. Push the ends of the strip through two adjacent holes and tie on the back.

3. Push the ends back through the same holes.

4. Repeat steps 2&3, ensuring that all adjacent holes are connected with a strip of felt, until you run out of strips or complete the mat. Most holes will have 4 strips going through it.

5. Sprinkle with treats and watch your dog enjoy snuffling for them.
